Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and CeeKay Apps Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("we", "us") for your use of Inkling Board at inklingboard.com. By using Inkling Board you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.
1. The service
Inkling Board is an online whiteboard. Without an account you get a single board that lives only in your browser tab and is lost when you close it. With an account, your boards are saved to our servers and available from any device.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. One person may not create multiple accounts to get around plan limits.
3. Plans and limits
We offer these plans. The exact limits are shown in the app and may change; we will give reasonable notice of any reduction.
- Signed out: one board, in memory only, not saved.
- Free: one saved board, up to 1 MB.
- Pro: up to 25 saved boards, each up to 10 MB, for a recurring fee.
If a board reaches its size limit, further changes are not saved until you remove content or upgrade; the app tells you when this happens. If your plan ends or is downgraded and you have more boards than the plan allows, we do not delete anything: your oldest boards up to the limit remain editable and the rest become read-only until you delete boards or upgrade again.
4. Payment, renewal, and cancellation
- Pro is a subscription billed in advance at the price shown when you subscribe. Payments are taken by Stripe.
- It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account menu. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and are not charged again.
- If you are a consumer in the UK you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription and receive a refund, less a proportionate amount for the period you have used. Beyond that, fees are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise or we decide to refund at our discretion.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period; you can cancel before then.
- Prices include VAT where applicable.
5. Your content
You own what you put on your boards. You give us a licence to store, copy, and display it only as needed to provide the service to you, which includes showing a board to anyone who opens a share link you have turned on. We do not claim any other rights to it, and we do not look at your boards except to fix a problem you report, to comply with the law, or to investigate abuse.
Share links are your responsibility: anyone with the link can view the board and copy it into their own account, and a copy belongs to whoever made it. You can turn a link off at any time, and it stops working immediately. Do not share a board containing content you are not entitled to show to others.
You are responsible for your content. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Inkling Board to break the law, harm others, send spam, distribute malware, interfere with the service or other users, probe or circumvent its security or limits, or resell it. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that breach these rules.
7. Availability, backups, and changes
We aim to keep Inkling Board available and your boards safe, and we run it on reputable providers, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost. Please export boards that matter to you. We may change or add features, and may withdraw the service with at least 30 days' notice, during which you can export your boards. If we withdraw the service, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using Inkling Board at any time and can ask us to delete your account and boards by emailing hello@ceekayapps.com. We may close accounts that breach these terms, or that have been inactive for more than 24 months, after giving notice to the email on the account.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, the service is provided as is, we are not liable for loss of data, profits, or business, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £50 if you paid nothing.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although consumers elsewhere in the UK may also bring claims in their local courts. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; material changes will be shown in the app and dated at the top, and continued use after that means you accept them.
